Stop Slavery Summit 2018
TWF is pleased to support the Stop Slavery Summit 2018, organised by Thomson Reuters, which brings together the most influential global leaders from corporations, government and NGOs to exchange views and explore opportunities stop this thriving international crime.
They may not be in plain sight but there are 40.3 million people in some form of modern slavery, and two-thirds of those trapped in modern slavery are in Asia-Pacific. This is a lucrative 150 billion-dollar industry that may also touch your enterprise!
In 2017, the Stop Slavery summit attracted over 180 representatives to share best practice on how technology, along with data solutions, enhanced risk procedures and regulation, can break the chain of slavery in supply chains. This year the Stop Slavery Summit aims to further increase business perspective and focus on ways we can address this global issue in our organizations. The half-day programme will comprise powerful keynote speeches combined with spotlight presentations and interactive panel discussions around 3 key themes
- Putting the “S” back into ESG – An investor’s perspective
- Leading with laws / the modern slavery risk – the C-Suite and Director duties around slavery risk
- Data is our weapon – How is technology helping us fight back?
