Thank you to Katie de Tilly & all the organisers of Hong Kong Art Week 2016 for inviting me to moderate the closing panel on The Future of Art, Innovation & Technology at last Saturday's Art Symposium at the Asia Society.
As the panel concluded: being innovative is not about technology - you can be innovative using older technologies or no technology at all. Being innovative is a mindset that embraces experimentation and collaboration. On balance, technology is a good thing since it opens up endless creative possibilities and the market in the end will determine the value of digital and other new forms of art.
After the panel with Henrietta Tsui, Kazumasa Nonaka, Jiyoon Lee, Yana Peel,Katie Warno de Tilly and William Fong .
